Mary A. Stanley, MD
Dr. Mary Stanley is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in breast surgery and breast disorders. She is certified in Breast Ultrasound by the American Society of Surgeons and The University of Vermont Medical Center.

She grew up in the Chicago area and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1986. She went on to Dartmouth/Brown Medical School, graduating in 1990. She was trained in General Surgery and Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Stanley has been practicing in Vermont since 1998 and has dedicated her surgical practice to Breast Surgery since that time. She worked at the Breast Care Center at Fletcher Allen Health Care for 10 years and opened her own practice in 2008.  She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

She lives in Shelburne with her family. She enjoys time with her family and the outdoors.

Julie A. Alosi MD

Julie A. Alosi, MD is a board-certified surgeon, and specialty trained in surgical oncology.

She grew up in southern Vermont, attended Colby College in ME, and medical school and general surgery residency training at UVM.  After her general surgery residency, she completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York.  For the last 8 years she has been a part of a multispecialty medical group in central Massachusetts where she performed general surgery and specialized in taking care of breast cancer, melanoma, and sarcoma patients. She rose to director of breast health in the medical group.  Julie joined our practice in VT in 2022.

Julie enjoys the multidisciplinary approach to cancer care and plans to care for patients with benign and malignant breast disease as well as patients with melanoma.

She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her family.


Beni Twitchell-Stephens
Office Administrator/Patient Navigator

Beni has worked in the health care field for over 30 years, with more than half of that being in Oncology services. She serves as the Office Administrator and Patient Navigator.  Beni has worked with Dr. Stanley since 1998.
Beni currently resides in Alburg with her family. In her spare time, she can be found on Windmill Bay enjoying the gardens and the Lake. Beni is a strong supporter of our military Veterans and actively involved with Blue Star Mothers of Vermont.

Reception/Front Desk

Jessica works to greet patients and troubleshoot various office problems.  Her calm, kind demeanor is soothing as you enter our doors.  She lives with her husband in Huntington and enjoys all of Vermont’s outdoor activities.

Catherine has worked in women’s health and reproductive health in Vermont for more than 25 years. As a Patient Navigator, she is excited to be part of a team providing kind patient centered care.

When she’s not in the office, she’s either walking in the woods with her spouse and dog or dreaming of summer when she can be out on the lake sailing. Catherine lives in Burlington with her family.
